Hello!.....I’d like to introduce myself.

I’m Nellie, a year and a half old tri-color Corgi/mini Aussie mix, weighing in at 13 pounds. I was found roaming a pasture with no homes in sight, and I’m not quite sure how I got there. That said, I am spayed, fully vetted with shots, and on heart worm prevention medication so I don’t get sick from mosquito bites. I get along very well with other dogs. I am active, but probably not good with kids under six years old. I would not hurt kitty cats, but I move too quickly for them and they get very prickly about it, so I might not be a good choice around kitties…! I love to be loved on……I am schedule trained to go potty and also crate trained. I’m looking for kind and gentle hands and a home to someone who will understand, care for, and love me. If you’re interested, go to the website and let my Safe Haven Animal Rescue – East Texas (SHARET) care givers know. Thank you for listening.

Hello, my name is Morgan Freeman,

and I cannot tell you how I got my name, but I’m very pretty. It just happened. I will be a year old in October of 2023. I am a terrier mix and weigh about 19 pounds. I was abandoned on a county road by people who didn’t care what might happen to me and was rescued and cared for by loving hands of Safe Haven Animal Rescue – East Texas (SHARET). I am neutered and fully vetted with shots. I am very active and LOVE people and attention…! I like other dogs. I am good with school-age children and older ones, but probably not so good with younger, smaller children. I move quickly and don’t want to intimidate the little ones. I don’t mat or shed a lot of hair, so I’ll keep your house cleaner that way. I promise to tell you when I’m unhappy about something, too, because I’m quite a communicator. I am schedule-trained to go potty, and crate trained. I’m looking for kind and gentle hands and humans that will care for, love, and understand me so I’m not abandoned again. So good of you to read my story today…! Please contact SHARET website if you want further information. Thank you.

Hello!....my name is Poppet,

and what a name they’ve given me! I don’t even know what that means. I look like a hound, but I think my personality makes up for whatever you may see on my face that looks kind of plain and makes me look cuter. They say I am quite a character. I am a girl dog and I like to take my food bowl and drop it in water to make sure it’s nice and clean after I’ve eaten. I’m kind of a neat freak and have been mistaken for a Kenmore dish washing machine, but I can assure you that I’m not mechanically inclined at all. I’m just a little particular about what I’m eating out of. At meal-time, I carry my bowl around to make sure I’m not overlooked when everybody else is getting fed, and I put it down when my care givers put my food in it. I’m a little too bouncy for children under 6, but I mean well. Like most dogs, I find cats extremely interesting….Thank you for listening to my tale. If you’re interested in giving me a loving home, contact the Safe Haven Animal Rescue – East Texas website for more information.
